Stainless steel stands for rustproof, a refined metal that is very strong and corrosion resistant. It is an alloy of mainly iron, nickel, at least 10,5% chromium and at most 1,2% carbon. Stainless steel is widely used in chemical and food industries and in kitchens (sheet metal).
